What is KKTCar?

Almost everyone who buys or sells a car on the island ends up in the same place: scattered listings on Facebook groups, outdated prices, cars that are already gone, hours on the phone. KKTCar is our attempt to tidy that up — every car for sale across TRNC in one spot, from Lefkoşa to Lefke, saving time for both sides of the deal.

How it started

The idea came from shopping for our own second car. After losing several days trying to find the brand we wanted in TRNC, and after calling the same seller a third time only to hear "abi, that one's gone", we became convinced this should be solved properly online. Three different audiences share the same car market here — locals, people from Türkiye, and the British and Russian expat communities — so we built the platform trilingual from day one.

What we do, what we don't

We don't sell cars and we're not a dealership. KKTCar is a listings platform — the seller posts their own car, the buyer contacts them directly, and everything from price negotiation to viewing, test drive, inspection and transfer day is between the two parties. We take no commission and no cut of any sale. Our job is to shorten the gap: present the listing properly, spell out price, mileage, document type and transmission clearly, and match search to whatever filter is in the buyer's head.

How we keep things clean

  • Every listing is reviewed before going live — to keep fake prices, copy-paste descriptions and the same car being posted twice off the site.
  • Sold cars come off the listings automatically, so you don't waste a call only to hear the car has already gone.
  • Communication is always directly with the seller. We don't sit in the middle, we don't route calls, we don't take commission.
  • Premium placements are paid — but the natural ranking is always recency and relevance. Paying money cannot push a worse car above a better one in search.

It's a small island

TRNC is a small market — people know people, and word travels fast when something goes wrong. That's exactly why this matters to us: to still be here in a few years under the same name, we have to keep our word.
